A feature-packed cart bag that nails organization and aesthetics, though the price and weight demand consideration.

The Big Picture

The Ghost Golf GT-14 is a 14-way cart bag that targets golfers who ride and want premium materials, serious storage, and meticulous club organization. Ghost Golf launched in 2020 during the pandemic and has quickly grown into a recognizable brand, particularly among golfers who appreciate bold styling and social media-friendly aesthetics. The GT-14 represents their flagship cart bag offering, built from polyurethane leather with magnetic pockets, full-length velour-lined dividers, and 11 external pockets.

At approximately $475, this is not a bag for the budget-conscious. It competes directly with premium options from Vessel, PING, and Callaway, and it needs to justify that price with both performance and build quality. After several weeks of use across multiple rounds, I have a clear picture of where the GT-14 excels and where it falls short.

Design & Aesthetics

The GT-14 is undeniably a good-looking bag. The PU leather exterior in the Katana colorway has a sleek, modern appearance that stands out in a cart bay without being garish. Ghost has put genuine thought into the design details -- the ghost logo badging is tastefully placed on the exterior, and the magnetic pockets feature velvet lining that adds a premium touch when you reach for your rangefinder or phone.

The 14-way top is the centerpiece of the design. Each club gets its own dedicated slot with full-length dividers that extend all the way to the bottom of the bag, preventing the grip tangling that plagues bags with shorter dividers. The dividers are velour-lined, which protects shafts from scratches but does make the slots slightly tighter than unlined alternatives. If you use oversized grips, you will notice the fit is a bit snug. It is not a dealbreaker, but it is something to be aware of.

The cart strap pass-through is well-positioned, ensuring that your pockets remain accessible when the bag is strapped onto a cart. Ghost has also included a dedicated putter well, a pen holder, and a Velcro glove attachment point -- small touches that add up to a well-considered overall design.

Storage & Organization

Storage is one of the GT-14's strongest suits. The 11 external pockets provide more than enough room for everything you could possibly need during a round. The magnetic rangefinder pocket lifts up for easy access -- a feature I found myself using constantly. Inside, a leash for your keys keeps valuables secure, and the velour-lined valuables pouch protects your phone and wallet.

The insulated cooler pocket is generously sized and keeps drinks cold through a full 18 holes on warm days. A dedicated ball pocket at the bottom is removable for custom embroidery, and the two large utility pockets on either side can swallow rain gear, extra layers, and snacks without any issues.

Having this many pockets could easily become a liability if the layout were poorly designed, but Ghost has arranged them logically. I never found myself digging blindly for something; each pocket has a clear purpose and is easy to access both on and off the cart.

Build Quality & Durability

The PU leather construction gives the GT-14 a polished, premium feel. After several weeks of regular use, the material showed no significant signs of wear. The stitching is tight and consistent, and the zippers -- a common failure point on lesser bags -- operate smoothly without any hitching. A light rain during one round did not affect the bag at all, which speaks well of its weather resistance.

The included rain hood fits snugly and keeps clubs dry when conditions deteriorate. I have not yet tested the bag through a sustained downpour, but for typical unexpected showers, the water-resistant materials held up well.

The rubberized base provides stability on carts and prevents the bag from sliding. It is a simple feature that many bags overlook, and it makes a noticeable difference when you are driving over uneven terrain.

Where It Falls Short

Weight is the GT-14's most significant drawback. At 12.5 pounds empty, this is a heavy bag. Once you load it up with 14 clubs, balls, drinks, rain gear, and assorted accessories, you are looking at a substantial load to lift in and out of your car trunk. If you exclusively ride, the weight is mostly irrelevant once the bag is on the cart. But the daily routine of loading and unloading does remind you of those extra pounds.

The price is the other consideration. At $475, the GT-14 is among the most expensive cart bags on the market. Competitors like the PING Pioneer (scored 9.6 in independent testing) offer comparable organization and storage for less money, while the Callaway Cargo provides even more storage capacity at a lower price point. The Ghost GT-14 Maverick, which adds abrasion-resistant premium PU leather, pushes close to $500.

For golfers on a budget, there are bags that check most of the same boxes for half the price. The GT-14's value proposition hinges on whether the premium materials, magnetic pockets, and Ghost's distinctive styling are worth the premium to you.

Verdict

The Ghost Golf GT-14 is a well-designed, premium cart bag that delivers excellent club organization, generous storage, and a sleek aesthetic. The 14-way full-length dividers keep every club protected and accessible, the magnetic pockets add genuine convenience, and the build quality inspires confidence in the bag's longevity. It is clearly a product designed by people who understand what cart-riding golfers want.

The weight and price are its two notable weaknesses. At 12.5 pounds and $475, you are paying a premium for the Ghost name, the PU leather construction, and the attention to detail. If those elements matter to you -- and if you are primarily a cart golfer who values organization above all else -- the GT-14 is a strong choice. If you are looking for more value or a lighter option, competitors from PING and Callaway offer compelling alternatives at lower price points.
